Wood Sawing Machines — Health & Safety Training
Course members will undertake a variety of practical exercises over the day to prepare them for the range of woodworking machining processes required to accurately and safely prepare materials within school workshops. Machines covered will include the circular saw, narrow band saw and chop saw. Course members will receive a course pack covering current legislation and the knowledge, skills and understanding required to safely use this range of woodworking machinery in schools. The course is suitable for teachers, technicians and other staff who are required to use this equipment. All the activities conform to the current D&T Association Training Standards.
